A passenger plane of LOT airline made an emergency landing in Vilnius 0 62

The plane arrived from Warsaw. "We inform you that today at 13:43, a LOT airline plane, flight LO771, arriving from Warsaw, went off the runway while taxiing to the parking area," said Tadas Vasiliauskas, a representative of the airports of Lithuania.

It should be noted that today there was a heavy snowfall in Lithuania. In some places, the snow depth reached 10 cm.

On the Flightradar24 website, it can be seen that the aircraft is located in the northern part of Vilnius Airport. Several service vehicles are nearby, including a fire truck.

Passengers were urgently evacuated from the plane.

The runway at Vilnius Airport is temporarily closed – at least until 17:00. Flights heading to Vilnius Airport are being redirected to other airports, including the nearby Riga Airport.
