In the past 24 hours, one person has died in a traffic accident, and seven others have been injured, according to operational data from the State Police.
A fatal traffic accident occurred in Latgale, where a pedestrian was killed.
A total of 102 traffic accidents have been registered in the country, six of which resulted in injuries. Among the injured are two pedestrians, one cyclist, and one electric scooter driver.
Five drivers were caught yesterday for driving under the influence. Three administrative and two criminal cases have been initiated.
