The defendants unlawfully acquired property.

The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia has demanded the transfer of state shares and stakes in the charter capitals of companies associated with former Chubais advisor Artem Bikov and former owner of "Oblkommunenergo" Alexey Bobrov. According to sources, this involves 11 organizations, and the agency is requesting the seizure of shares in the enterprises "EK Vostok" and "Sibir-Holding", the bank "Agropromkredit", the pension fund "Professional", as well as in energy companies.

The Prosecutor General's Office is asking for the seizure of shares in the enterprises "EK Vostok" and "Sibir-Holding", the bank "Agropromkredit" and the pension fund "Professional", as well as in the energy companies "Yamalkommunenergo", "Tyumen Energy Alliance", "Nizhnevartovsk Energy Supply Company", "EK Invest" and "TEO".

In addition to Bikov and Bobrov, the defendants in the lawsuit include former Vice-Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Oleg Chemezov, 12 individuals, and the holding "Enterprise Project Financing". The Prosecutor General's Office believes that they unlawfully acquired the companies in violation of anti-corruption legislation.

A court in Yekaterinburg previously granted the Prosecutor General's lawsuit, which demanded the seizure of Bobrov's and Bikov's assets, with Bikov having served as an advisor to former RAO "UES" head Anatoly Chubais from May 2003 to June 2005. The agency established that the defendants unlawfully acquired the state-owned enterprise "Oblkommunenergo", through which the production complex of "STS Corporation" was formed — a group of companies that monopolized the supply of electricity, water supply, and solid waste management in several Russian regions, including Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

The lawsuit stated that using illegally obtained assets, Bikov and Bobrov acquired resource-supplying companies in the Kurgan and Tyumen regions, as well as in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, thus monopolizing the energy supply market in the Ural Federal District. The profits from the sale of utility resources were transferred to foreign accounts in European countries and then invested in the economies of unfriendly countries, the Prosecutor General's Office reported.

The lawsuit named 21 legal entities and 16 individuals as defendants, including Chemezov, former Minister of State Property of the Sverdlovsk Region Alexey Pyankov, former Minister of Energy and Housing and Utilities of the region Nikolai Smirnov, as well as the chairwoman of the board of directors of "STS Corporation" Tatyana Chernykh.
