In three days, 73 people attempted to illegally cross the Latvian-Belarusian border, the State Border Guard reported.
In total, this year there have already been 11,074 attempts to illegally cross the border, and for humanitarian reasons, 26 people have been accepted in Latvia.
Due to the ongoing flow of illegal migrants from Belarus, the government has extended the enhanced control regime at the Latvian-Belarusian border until December 31 of this year.
