A 66-year-old Polish passenger was denied boarding at Krakow airport after her failed joke about explosives in her luggage, RMF24 reports.
The incident occurred on Thursday but was reported publicly later. Border guards at Krakow airport received a call from security about a passenger who mentioned something about explosives in her luggage. The 66-year-old Polish citizen was supposed to fly to Rhodes.
Her words, which were clearly a joke, were taken seriously and a thorough inspection of her suitcase was conducted. No prohibited items were found.
The woman was fined 500 zlotys (about 120 euros) for providing false information and was denied boarding on the flight.
