In the United States, the remains of a young beauty queen from Pennsylvania were found in a pit behind an abandoned school that closed in 2008. This was reported by the New York Post.
23-year-old Kada Scott disappeared in Philadelphia. The girl worked part-time at a nursing home, left there around 9:30 PM, and went missing. An anonymous caller contacted the police and stated that Scott's remains might be located near the old school.
The police searched the area and discovered the remains, covered with dirt in a shallow pit. According to the search participants, they immediately noticed fresh dirt at the site, which had a specific odor. The remains were sent for examination, which showed that their DNA matched that of Scott's parents. Moreover, on Wednesday, October 15, a white car was found near the same school, in which the girl was seen on the day of her disappearance. The car was damaged. Items belonging to Scott were found nearby, including a bank card and a mobile phone case.
Prior to this, in connection with the girl's disappearance, 21-year-old Kion King was arrested. He was charged with kidnapping for ransom, unlawful restraint, and creating a threat to life. It turned out that King had been previously arrested for kidnapping in January; however, the victim failed to appear in court several times, and the case was closed. The prosecution has already acknowledged its failure to convict the perpetrator at that time.
Kada Scott participated in beauty contests and represented Philadelphia in the 2025 Miss Pennsylvania USA pageant, the winner of which participated in Miss USA.
