The operator of the natural gas distribution system AS 'Gaso' warns about telephone scammers who impersonate company employees, representatives of 'Gaso' told the LETA agency.
The company indicates that in recent days there have been attempts of telephone fraud (phishing), during which the identity of the enterprise is used. Scammers call, posing as employees of 'Gaso', and inquire about clients' financial information.
Representatives of 'Gaso' remind that the company never requests personal data from clients over the phone — passport or ID information, bank card numbers, as well as online banking login details.
In case of doubts, 'Gaso' urges clients to contact the company by phone at 67369938 (on working days from 8:00 to 18:00), and after 18:00 and on weekends — at 114.
'Gaso' is the operator of the natural gas distribution system, which ensures the development of distribution infrastructure, connection to the system, its operation and accounting of natural gas, as well as the operation of the emergency service. 'Gaso' is a fully regulated enterprise operating exclusively in Latvia. The sole owner of the company is AS 'Elenger Grupp'.
