After a year of proceedings, the final court hearing took place in the case of the star of Russian series Yakov Levda. It is already known what sentence the artist received.

This story began back in November 2024, when Levda beat his own mother. The star of the series 'Sklifosovsky', 'Balabol', 'Ishcheyka', 'Policeman from Rublyovka', and many other films had previously admitted his guilt. And now the court has handed down an unfavorable verdict in this case.

'By the verdict of the Nagatinsky District Court of Moscow, Levda Ya.D. was found guilty of committing a crime under paragraph 'z' of part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The court imposed a sentence of imprisonment for a term of 3 years, to be served in a general regime correctional colony,' reports the press service of the Nagatinsky Court of Moscow.

Neither the actor nor his mother have yet commented on the news of the verdict. Yakov's mother, let us remind you, sustained several injuries during the beating: bruises to the chest, pelvis, and eye, as well as broken ribs. Despite her injuries, the victim was able to leave the premises on her own and seek help from neighbors.

It later became clear that Levda suffers from alcoholism. The actor stated that after the attack on his mother, he quit drinking. However, as noted by several sources, Yakov never officially sought treatment.

By the way, Yakov was also accused of animal cruelty. But the artist has always denied these allegations. Here’s what he said in a conversation with media representatives: 'Yes, there was a conflict with my mother, I hit her, but not in the way everyone is portraying it. I love animals very much and have never tortured them. My drinking is not related to alcoholism, but rather to a creative crisis.'
