Green hydrogen producer Northern Europe Energy Group and wind energy developer Vindr will sign a memorandum of cooperation on Friday — this is the first step towards building a green hydrogen production plant in the Haademeeste municipality of Parnu County.
Northern Europe Energy Group plans to build a green hydrogen production plant, powered by wind energy producer Vindr Baltics. The total investment will amount to one billion euros.
According to current plans, the plant, which will start operations in 2031, will provide at least 100 jobs in the Urisar area near the Estonian-Latvian border.
According to the agreement, Vindr will supply renewable electricity to the plant through the Estonian power grid.
