Fuel Swings: Prices Diverged in the Baltic Capitals

Last week, different trends in fuel price changes were observed in the capitals of the Baltic states, according to aggregated data from the LETA agency.

At the end of the working week, the highest price for gasoline was in Riga, followed by Vilnius and Tallinn. At the same time, the most expensive diesel fuel was in Vilnius, followed by Riga, and finally Tallinn with the lowest diesel price.

In Riga, at the "Circle K" gas station on Krasta Street, both 95 octane gasoline and diesel were priced at 1.534 euros per liter on Friday — the prices for both types of fuel increased by 1.3% over the week.

In Vilnius, at the "Circle K" gas station on Savanorių Avenue, 95 octane gasoline cost 1.484 euros per liter, which is 0.7% lower than a week earlier, while the price of diesel fuel rose by 0.8% and was 1.687 euros per liter on Friday.

In Tallinn, at the "Circle K" gas station, the price of 95 octane gasoline on Friday was 1.449 euros per liter — 1.4% lower than a week earlier. The price of diesel fuel decreased by 0.7% to 1.429 euros per liter.

The price of autogas in Riga and Tallinn increased by 1.1% and 0.3% respectively compared to the previous week, reaching 0.935 euros and 0.903 euros per liter on Friday. Meanwhile, in Vilnius, the price of autogas decreased by 1.3% to 0.759 euros per liter.
