The complex will include a water park and thermal spa with over 30 water attractions.
According to Express, the €1 billion (approximately £877 million) project will be implemented near Bucharest. The new complex has already been dubbed the 'Transylvanian Disneyland.'
What the Project Includes
Dracula Land will be a multifunctional space that combines a theme park, water park, thermal spa complex, shopping area, hotels, a racetrack, entertainment venues, and a technology hub. According to the investors' vision, it is intended to be the largest entertainment, retail, and technology center in Europe.
The main park, covering 780,000 square meters, will include 40 major attractions and six immersive zones. At the entrance, guests will be greeted by the Moonlit District featuring the Transylvanian Railway, a 10-meter double carousel, projection and drone shows, an immersive exhibition about 'Hollywood Vampires,' and the 'Legend of Vlad' route.
In the Family Kingdom area, 'supernatural beings from cultures around the world' will be showcased: there will be a 4D cinema, play areas for toddlers, a stage for live shows, and various attractions. A separate Transylvania zone, styled after the Carpathians, will recreate traditional villages and 'mysterious forests' with roller coasters, water attractions, play areas, and a farmers' market.
One of the key locations will be Dracula's Castle, which will be set among ruins, an artificial lake, and gardens. Inside, there will be a labyrinth, boat rides, and high-speed routes through underground passages. The park will also feature the Port of New Orleans area with extreme attractions and London Town, inspired by the Victorian streets of London, with the 'Globe' theater, horse-drawn carriages, and souvenir shops.
In addition to the theme park, the complex will include a water park and thermal spa with over 30 water attractions and a wave pool—one of the largest in Europe. Three hotels will be built on the premises: Dracula Grand Hotel, Dracula Family Hotel, and Dracula Inn—totaling 1,200 rooms.

There will also be a shopping outlet covering about 9,000 square meters with more than 70 brands, a multifunctional arena with 22,500 seats for concerts and festivals, a racetrack approximately 4.5 km long, and a business and tech hub.
It is noted that the opening of Dracula Land is planned for 2026-2027, with the exact date yet to be announced. It is expected that in the first phase, the complex will welcome about 3 million visitors annually.
The project's founder, Dragoș Dobrescu, emphasized that Dracula Land is not just a development project, but a 'national symbol' that should demonstrate Romania's ability to create large-scale landmark objects with meaning and its own history.
