It is claimed that the adoption and implementation of the draft law will provide an additional incentive for the development of the region.
The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation has developed a draft law that proposes the possibility of creating a gambling zone in the Republic of Altai. The document has been posted on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts.
"The creation of gambling zones is planned in the territories of the following subjects of the Russian Federation: the Republic of Crimea, Altai Krai, Kaliningrad Oblast, Krasnodar Krai, and Primorsky Krai. The draft federal law proposes to establish the possibility of creating a gambling zone in the territory of the Republic of Altai," the explanatory note to the draft law states.
It is claimed that the adoption and implementation of the draft law will provide an additional incentive for the development of the region, increase tourist flows to the territory of the republic, and create new jobs for the residents of Altai.
In 2025, a gambling zone began operating in the passenger terminal of the seaport of Yalta in Crimea.
Earlier, "United Russia" presented a draft law to combat the illegal gambling market.
