Домодедово отжали у его бывших владельцев.

The former owners of the facility lost the right to own it by the decision of the prosecutor's office.

Domodedovo Airport, seized in favor of the state, will be put up for sale at an open auction in early 2026, Russian agencies reported, citing the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov.

Potential investors are already present, he said, but did not name them.

In June, the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, seized all assets of Moscow's Domodedovo Airport in favor of the state.

In September, Siluanov stated that the airport is included in the privatization plan for 2025 and that there is already a buyer.

The Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit against the airport's owner Dmitry Kamenshchik and his partner Valery Kogan, as well as a number of companies owning the airport's assets, demanding to recognize the privatization transactions of the assets as invalid, as prosecutors believe that control over the strategic asset was established by foreign entities.

Mikhail Lomonosov International Airport Domodedovo is an international airport of federal significance, one of the four main airports in Moscow and the Moscow region, and is the fourth largest airport in Russia by passenger traffic after Sheremetyevo (Moscow), Pulkovo (Saint Petersburg), and Vnukovo (Moscow). It is located on the border of the Domodedovo urban district and the Ramensky district of the Moscow region, 45 kilometers southeast of central Moscow, and 22 kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road. Its official name is "Moscow (Domodedovo)" named after Mikhail Lomonosov.

It serves regular flights within Russia, as well as to Europe, Asia, and Africa, and is the Moscow hub of the global alliance Oneworld and, in particular, the second largest airline in Russia by passenger traffic — S7 Airlines. It is among the top twenty busiest airports in Europe.
