In Germany, firefighters rescued two parachutists from trees at a German armed forces training ground in Scheuen near Celle, reports Spiegel.
The Celle fire department reported that rescuers received a call late Tuesday evening.
A soldier was rescued from a height of about six meters using a turntable ladder, while a female serviceman was brought down from a tree at a height of ten meters using a portable ladder. The paratrooper and the female paratrooper were unharmed.
The fire department did not provide any information about the cause of the incident.
The rescue operation was conducted in close cooperation with the German armed forces.
