The Israel Defense Forces reported on Saturday that in the previous 24 hours, they struck 85 targets of the Shiite group Hezbollah in Lebanon, according to LETA citing DPA.

Among the targets were weapon depots, launchers, and other military infrastructure. The army stated that the operation was a response to threats against Israeli civilians and soldiers in southern Lebanon.

Officials also reported the destruction of an underground facility in the Bekaa Valley that Hezbollah allegedly used for weapon production.

Israeli forces also attacked Hezbollah militants in southern Lebanon.

The Israel Defense Forces accuse Hezbollah of firing several rockets at soldiers in southern Lebanon in recent days. There have been no reports of casualties.

The existing ceasefire agreement allows Israel to take defensive measures against planned, imminent, or ongoing attacks, but prohibits offensive operations on Lebanese territory.

The parties to the conflict accuse each other of violating this agreement.
