The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump published a new counter-terrorism strategy on Wednesday, criticizing Europe as a "breeding ground" for terrorism fueled by mass migration, LETA reports citing AFP.

The strategy also focuses on eradicating "violent left-wing extremists," including "radically pro-transgender" groups.

Additionally, the fight against Latin American drug cartels has been placed at the center of counter-terrorism efforts.

A significant portion of the harshest criticism in the strategy text is directed at Europe, despite the fact that many European countries are allies of the U.S.

"It is clear to everyone that well-organized hostile groups are exploiting open borders and the associated globalist ideals. The more these alien cultures grow and the longer the current European policies continue, the more guaranteed terrorism becomes," the strategy states.

"Europe, as the cradle of Western culture and values, must act now and stop its conscious decline," the strategy says, with leading coordinator Sebastian Gorka, who has been accused of ties to far-right groups.

The new criticism of Europe comes five months after the publication of a new national security strategy by the Trump administration, which claimed that Europe faces the "prospect of civilization destruction" due to immigration.

Trump also recently criticized NATO countries in Europe for not helping the U.S. in the war against Iran.

The new strategy places particular emphasis on combating "violent left-wing extremists, including anarchists and anti-fascists."

The document states that U.S. efforts in the fight against terrorism will be "prioritized towards the rapid identification and neutralization of violent secular political groups whose ideology is anti-American, radically pro-transgender, and anarchist."

The strategy specifically mentions that the killer of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk was a "radical supporting extreme transgender ideologies."

After returning to the presidency, Trump has opposed any forms of recognition of gender diversity and transgender individuals. He regularly states that his administration banned transgender women from participating in women's sports competitions, and shortly after his inauguration, he signed an order asserting that there are only two genders.
