The U.S. in its new strategy called Europe a 'breeding ground' for terrorism... Will there be bombings?

The U.S. considers it unacceptable for "wealthy allies" in NATO Europe to become financial and recruitment centers for terrorists, according to the new American counterterrorism strategy. As reported by "The Guardian," the Donald Trump administration officially recognized the European continent as a breeding ground for terrorist threats.

The document emphasizes that despite being key partners, many states in the region have turned into logistical bases for extremist structures. "It is unacceptable for wealthy NATO allies to serve as financial, logistical, and recruitment centers for terrorists," the strategy text notes.

According to the new U.S. counterterrorism strategy, NATO European countries remain important allies of America; however, the current security situation raises serious concerns for the White House. "Europe is under serious threat and is both a target of terrorism and a breeding ground for terrorist threats," the published document states.

The strategy particularly highlights the role of uncontrolled mass migration, which, according to the authors, has become the main channel for the transfer of radicals to the continent. Washington calls on its allies to immediately reassess their security approaches and strengthen border control.

"Europe must immediately significantly increase its counterterrorism efforts," the document states. It points out that hostile groups skillfully exploit the concept of open borders. The American administration expects its partners to engage in more honest discussions about the problems of Islamism and to allocate sufficient resources to eliminate internal threats.
