The USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) aircraft carrier has passed through the Arabian Sea while U.S. forces are enforcing a maritime blockade against Iran from the Gulf of Oman.
American units are also supporting an operation called Project Freedom directly in the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported on the social network X by the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).
On board the aircraft carrier is a powerful air group consisting of more than 60 aircraft, ready to perform various combat and reconnaissance tasks. The presence of such an aircraft carrier strike group in the region is aimed at enhancing measures to control maritime routes and prevent provocations from the Iranian regime.
The operation in the Gulf of Oman and the Strait of Hormuz is part of a broader U.S. strategy to ensure the security of maritime transport and uphold the established blockade. Coordination of actions under Project Freedom allows U.S. military forces to respond swiftly to any changes in the situation in this strategically important hub of global trade.
