It Depends on Us Whether There Will Be a Parade on Red Square on May 9 - Ukrainian Military

Ukraine is "rehearsing the parade" in Moscow. This was stated by Alexander Musienko – a serviceman of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a military expert, commenting on the drone strikes on the Russian capital.

"We are demonstrating what this might look like and that the parade may simply not take place. This is fundamentally important for us, although some perceive it as a joke. But we clearly show that it depends on us whether something will happen on Red Square on May 9 or, perhaps, nothing at all. After all, it is in our hands right now to prevent this parade from taking place. And thus disrupt the spectacle that Putin will try to arrange. To disrupt what Peskov says, that Putin's speeches are expected almost all over the world, etc.," said Musienko.

He added that this is also a serious demonstration of Ukrainian capabilities and advantages, at least regarding long-range air strikes.

"Some are saying that Ukraine is supposedly losing some advantage. We are showing that this is not the case. Moreover, in terms of negotiations, which the president spoke about while in Yerevan during a meeting with Prime Minister Starmer. We are ready for trilateral negotiations, but we are forming the corresponding position. That is, we are forming a position of strength, when we have quite serious arguments with which we can counter any demands from Putin. And to say that we have quite a serious toolkit that is only gaining momentum. And we have the ability to negotiate from a position of strength," explained Musienko.

Parade in Moscow: What We Know

Let us remind you that earlier Putin had a phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump, during which he raised the issue of a temporary ceasefire with Ukraine on May 9. As noted by Putin's assistant Yuri Ushakov, Trump allegedly supported this idea.

In Ukraine, it has already been stated that they will consider this proposal depending on its conditions. At the same time, the Kremlin stated that for the implementation of the ceasefire by May 9, Ukraine's reaction is not needed, as it is sufficient only to have the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Against this backdrop, drones attacked Moscow on the night of May 4. As the mayor of the Russian capital stated, a drone hit a building in the Mosfilmovskaya area. It later became known that it was an FP-1 type drone, which fell in close proximity to the Kremlin for the first time in a very long time.
