Donald Trump's Approval Rating Falls to a Low: The War in Iran Is Not the Main Reason

The approval rating of U.S. President Donald Trump has fallen to its lowest level in two terms in office: 62% of Americans are dissatisfied with his policies, while only 37% support his actions.

This is evidenced by data from a joint survey conducted by The Washington Post (WP), ABC News, and the Ipsos polling institute.

According to the survey, the highest percentage — 76% of respondents — are dissatisfied with the rising cost of living in the U.S. due to Trump's decisions. 72% are disappointed with his inflation policy, and another 66% disapprove of the war with Iran.

Respondents are most supportive of the current U.S. administration's immigration policy at the border with Mexico, but even here, the negative assessment remains predominant (45% approval and 54% disapproval).

It is not difficult to guess that the low approval ratings for the president just months before the midterm elections for the U.S. Congress pose a serious threat to the preservation of the Republican majority in the House of Representatives, as well as threaten their majority in the Senate, WP writes, quoting Deutsche Welle.
