Norwegian Defense Minister Tore O. Sandvik stated that in the event of a potential military confrontation between NATO and Russia, the Alliance will have no doubts about its superiority, primarily in the airspace. He mentioned this in an interview with TVP World.
The minister emphasized that Russia remains weakened due to the protracted war against Ukraine. "Putin is unable to win in Ukraine. He will have no chances against NATO," he stated.
Sandvik also noted that Russian ground forces have suffered significant losses, and their positions in the Arctic region and along the border with Norway have weakened, despite a separate increase in Russia's underwater and aerial activities.
At the same time, the minister urged European countries to accelerate the increase of defense spending and the development of the defense industry, emphasizing the need for long-term security strengthening and further support for Ukraine.
