Ferreira dos Santos, a 51-year-old witness, recounted the moment of the tragedy to the publication. "Suddenly we saw people running, and when we looked, the structure was on the ground. I believe he was taken out alive, put in an ambulance, and taken away," he stated.
However, despite the witness's hopes, emergency services confirmed the worst: the man did not survive. According to the fire department, the victim's legs were completely crushed in the "lifting system," leading to fatal consequences.
