Green Energy Sets Records. Who Would Have Thought?

By 2025, China will have installed more solar panels than all other countries in the world combined.

Exactly 10 years have passed since the signing of the Paris Agreement on climate. Climate policy is often criticized. But it has also yielded impressive results. For example, the global development of renewable energy sources has been so rapid that it has exceeded the expectations of optimists. Other examples:

Today, green energy accounts for 40% of global consumption. Its share in the global energy balance has more than tripled over the past 10 years.

The amount of energy generated by solar panels is already four times higher than the forecasts from 2015. It doubles every three years. The leader in this field is China. By 2025, it will have installed more solar panels than all other countries in the world combined.

The electric vehicle market has grown from 1% to nearly 25% of total car sales, writes Deutsche Welle. It is expected that the goal set in the Paris Agreement to have 100 million electric vehicles on the roads by 2030 will be achieved ahead of schedule.
