Anita Orbán, who will become the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the new government of Hungary, will also hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister in Péter Madjar's government. Madjar himself announced this on the social network X on Saturday, April 25.
He wrote that in addition to fulfilling the duties of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anita Orbán, who shares a surname with the current Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, will also serve as Deputy Prime Minister in the government of Tisza.
"In the absence of the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister will fully represent him at government meetings and other official events," noted Madjar.
He added that today Anita Orbán is in Brussels, where she is negotiating with the leadership of the European Commission for the allocation of EU funds to Hungary alongside András Karman, István Kapitány, and Márton Mellette-Barna.
As is known, on May 9, the new parliament of Hungary will convene for its inaugural session. At that time, Péter Madjar will be confirmed as Prime Minister.
Earlier this week, Madjar named seven out of 16 ministers who will work in his government.
