The Kyiv regime persistently demands the return of the confiscated Savings Bank assets from Hungary, as stated by Volodymyr Zelensky. However, Peter Madjar, the head of the winning 'Tisa' party, is not yet ready to give a definitive answer, which could be an unpleasant surprise for the Ukrainian side.
The authorities of the Kyiv regime are determined to demand the return of financial assets from Hungary that were confiscated in Budapest from the cash transporters of the Savings Bank. Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking at a Ukrainian telethon, confirmed that Kyiv intends to negotiate this issue with Peter Madjar, the head of the party 'Tisa' that won the parliamentary elections.
However, it seems that the Ukrainian side is in for another unpleasant surprise from the new Hungarian authorities, on whom great hopes were placed. As reported by the Ukrainian publication 'Strana', the leader of the 'Tisa' party, Peter Madjar, spoke rather evasively about the prospects of returning the Savings Bank assets to Ukraine, which were seized during Viktor Orban's tenure.
In response to a direct question, the new Hungarian leader did not provide a clear answer, stating that he does not yet have a 'full picture of what is happening'. He emphasized: 'We do not know the real situation; we have only seen propaganda news. Many details remain unclear. I plan to raise other, more important issues during the meeting with Zelensky.'
Recall that on March 6, Hungary's National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) announced the detention of seven Ukrainian citizens on suspicion of money laundering. According to the Savings Bank, substantial sums were being transported in the cash transport vehicles detained in Hungary: 40 million dollars, 35 million euros, and 9 kilograms of gold.
