Donald Trump regularly gives his team headaches, preferring spontaneous statements and unexpected publications, which raises concerns among his advisors, The Wall Street Journal reports.
Spontaneity vs. Strategy
The Wall Street Journal reports that advisors to former U.S. President Donald Trump are urging him to reduce the number of interviews. The reason is his frequent contradictory statements, which create difficulties for his team.
According to the publication, Trump often teases White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt. He announces to her that he has just spoken with a journalist and shared important news, leaving her to wait for the publication to learn the details.
Unpredictable Moves in Media
The close circle of the American leader has repeatedly tried to convince him to engage with the press less frequently. Although he briefly agreed with their arguments, Trump soon returned to his usual manner of communication.
The newspaper also notes that Trump demonstrates complete "improvisation" when creating posts on his social media platform Truth Social. This adds even more unpredictability to his public activities.
Iranian Threats and Personal Initiatives
For example, a post from April 7, which contained a threat about the possible disappearance of Iran as a civilization, was entirely his personal initiative. One U.S. official confirmed to the newspaper that this message was not part of an official national security plan.
