The Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the Russian oil terminal 'Ust-Luga'

The Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the Russian oil terminal 'Ust-Luga Oil' on the night of April 7.

This information was confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"On the night of April 7, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the oil terminal 'Ust-Luga Oil' (Slobodka, Leningrad region, Russia). Preliminary reports confirm the destruction of three tanks belonging to the company 'Transneft-Baltika'. This facility is an important element of the export infrastructure for petroleum products in Russia, the proceeds from which are used to continue the armed aggression against Ukraine," the statement said.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is clarifying the extent of the damage caused. It is also reported that on April 5, as a result of the strike, facilities of the oil transportation and refining infrastructure of the Russians were damaged.

"In particular, as a result of the strike on the 'Transneft-Port Primorsk', three RVSP-20000 type tanks were damaged, leading to a fire of petroleum products. RVSP-20000 is a tank with a volume of 20,000 m³. This is a standard design used for long-term storage of oil, petroleum products, and other flammable liquids," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted.

Additionally, as a result of the strike on April 5 against LLC 'Lukoil-Nizhny Novgorodnefteorgsintez', elements of the primary processing installations of crude oil AVT-6 and AVT-1 and the installation 19/6 involved in the production of oil bitumen were damaged.
