The military campaign against Iran is far from over: a senior Israeli source estimates that intense hostilities are expected to last at least another week, reported Channel Kan.
This estimate comes amid escalating exchanges of strikes and the understanding that the operational objectives of the war have not yet been achieved.
Alongside the assessments in Israel, it is reported that the diplomatic communication channel between the United States and Iran is currently blocked. According to the report, Jerusalem has been informed that indirect contacts between the parties regarding a ceasefire have "reached an impasse." As a result, the American administration is preparing to intensify military actions, including plans for strikes on national infrastructure targets within Iran.
Reports of the diplomatic deadlock have also been published in the Wall Street Journal. According to the newspaper, the mediation efforts of regional countries, led by Pakistan, to find a formula that would halt the fire between the U.S. and Iran have completely failed.
Mediators speaking with the newspaper noted that the gaps between American demands and Iranian positions at this stage are insurmountable, pushing towards the continuation and even expansion of the military operation.
