The green cards of the relatives of General Soleimani, who opposed the U.S., have been revoked.

The green cards of the relatives of Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), who was killed in 2020 — his niece and grandniece — have been revoked, Bloomberg reports, citing the U.S. State Department.

"Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter are currently in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement," the agency writes.

The agency also informs that Soleimani's niece, who lived in Los Angeles, actively supported Iran on social media and the attacks on American soldiers in the Middle East.

Soleimani was killed in a U.S. airstrike in Baghdad in January 2020. At that time, Donald Trump was serving as the President of the United States. It was also then that the former Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, who was killed in February 2026 (during Trump's second presidency), promised that Tehran would not forgive the United States for what happened and would respond appropriately.
