The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine has irrefutable evidence that Russia has provided intelligence information to Iran, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Monday, LETA reports citing the BBC.
The head of Ukrainian military intelligence, Oleg Ivashchenko, informed Zelensky that Russia continues to share its intelligence with Iran.
"We have irrefutable data that the Russians continue to provide intelligence information to the Iranian regime," Zelensky stated on the Telegram platform.
"Russia is using its capabilities in radio technical and electronic intelligence, as well as some data from partners in the Middle East," the president noted.
As U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff stated last week, Russia denies sharing intelligence with Iran.
Later reports emerged that Russia offered to cease this practice in exchange for stopping the exchange of intelligence between Ukraine and the U.S.
The United States rejected this proposal.
The head of military intelligence also informed Zelensky that the deployment of Russian drone control stations in Belarus is planned.
"We have precise information that Russia plans to continue deploying ground control stations for long-range drones both in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and four stations on the territory of Belarus. We will respond accordingly," emphasized the president of Ukraine.
