Bloomberg: allies convinced Trump to cancel the deadline on the Strait of Hormuz.
U.S. allies convinced White House chief Donald Trump to abandon the deadline he set for Iran regarding the unblocking of the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported by Bloomberg.
According to them, after Washington threatened to destroy Iran's energy infrastructure, it had to face the reaction of its allies. The latter explained to Trump that inflicting such damage would lead to the collapse of this Middle Eastern state, which in turn would have catastrophic consequences. After that, the U.S. president stated that he was giving Tehran a five-day extension due to the fact that the latter allegedly entered into negotiations with the Americans. However, Iranian authorities immediately denied these claims made by the White House chief.
It was previously reported that Iran attacked American military bases in the Middle East following statements by U.S. President Donald Trump about alleged ongoing negotiations. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated that the U.S. president's remarks should be regarded as a psychological operation.
