Telegraph: Iranian officials called the attack on the Diego Garcia base a warning.

The attempt to attack the American-British military base Diego Garcia was a warning to London. This was reported by the British newspaper The Telegraph, citing Iranian officials.

They allegedly stated that the attack was a "warning shot" towards the United Kingdom.

One British military source warned that it would be difficult for London to repel such an attack from a long distance. "Dealing with ballistic missiles requires extensive training, and unfortunately, the level of preparedness in the UK is very, very low," he noted.

Earlier, Iran launched two ballistic missiles at the Diego Garcia base, but the attack did not reach its target. The UK Ministry of Defence, commenting on the incident, stated that Tehran's "reckless attacks" across the region pose a threat.
