In Odesa, three people were injured, and several houses were damaged as a result of a drone raid from the Russian Federation, city authorities reported. Fires broke out in the affected areas, but they were quickly extinguished.

Russia attacked Odesa with unmanned aerial vehicles late on Wednesday, March 18. As a result, three people were injured, two of whom were taken to the hospital, reported the head of the city military administration, Serhiy Lysak, as noted by DW.

In addition, two multi-story buildings, a structure in the historic center, and several houses in the private sector were damaged, he added. Fires broke out in the affected areas, but they were quickly extinguished, emphasized Lysak. Emergency and utility service personnel are working at the sites of the incidents, the head of the military city administration indicated.

For about four years, Odesa has repeatedly been targeted by shelling from the Russian Armed Forces. Since the beginning of the year, both residential buildings and critical infrastructure facilities have been hit.

Drones over Sevastopol

Meanwhile, the "governor" of Sevastopol in annexed Crimea, Mykhailo Razvozhayev, also reported a drone attack, blaming the Ukrainian army. According to him, air defense forces shot down 27 drones.

As a result of the raid, one person was killed, and two others sustained moderate injuries, Razvozhayev reported. Additionally, windows were shattered in several residential buildings, eight cars were damaged by debris from the downed UAVs, a private house and a strip of forest caught fire near Cape Fiolent, and an industrial building was affected in the area of Fiolent Highway, he added.
