The Guardian: Europe’s involvement in the war against Iran will lead to its demise.
Europe may face serious problems if it enters into conflict against Iran. This is reported by the British newspaper The Guardian.
The authors note that the current conflict in the Middle East has become a source of paralysis for Europe. European leaders acknowledge that American-Israeli strikes violate international law, but do not directly condemn what is happening.
Such a position puts at risk the very idea of European identity, which has traditionally been built around the principles of international law, multilateral diplomacy, and political independence. If Europe decides to completely abandon these principles, it may lose the ability to act as an independent global player.
