The U.S. temporarily allowed the purchase of Russian oil.
Due to the war surrounding Iran, global oil prices have surged sharply - and Russia is already receiving about $150 million in additional income every day, reports Polish Radio. According to analysts' estimates, by the end of March this amount could reach nearly $5 billion.
Meanwhile, the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, criticized the U.S. decision to temporarily ease sanctions on the purchase of Russian oil. According to him, such a decision could affect Europe's security.
Costa noted that economic pressure directly influences Russia's willingness to engage in negotiations for a just peace. And additional oil revenues could be used to continue the war against Ukraine.
What happened:

- The decision is related to rising prices due to the conflict surrounding Iran
