IRGC stated that it is expecting U.S. military personnel to escort tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.
The official representative of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Ali Mohammad Naeini, stated that he is expecting U.S. military personnel to accompany vessels through the Strait of Hormuz.
Naeini commented on the words of U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who stated that American military forces would begin escorting commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz in one to two weeks.
"Iran extremely welcomes the statements about the presence of American forces to escort tankers through the Strait of Hormuz. By the way, we are expecting them," Naeini said.
Earlier, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian apologized to neighboring countries for missile strikes. The interim governing council decided not to attack neighboring Middle Eastern countries if there are no strikes against Iran from their territories, he stated.
