NYT: Iran's Strikes Damaged US Early Warning Radars

Satellite images analyzed by The New York Times show that Iranian missile and drone strikes have damaged communication infrastructure and radar facilities at several US military bases in the Middle East.

According to the analysis, damage has been recorded at US military sites in Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Among the targeted sites are SATCOM satellite communication terminals, radar domes, satellite antennas, and facilities near missile tracking systems, including AN/TPY-2 radars.

Additionally, it has been confirmed that Iran succeeded in hitting the AN/FPS-132 early warning radar at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, a key US ballistic missile detection system.

Satellite images show confirmed damage to one surface of the radar.

The AN/FPS-132 early warning radar at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar is a US-built missile attack warning system valued at $1.1 billion that detects ballistic missiles at distances of up to ~5,000 km and relays data to regional air defense systems such as THAAD and Patriot.

Among the facilities that may have been struck are the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, Camp Arifjan and Ali Al Salem bases in Kuwait, Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, as well as several US military sites in the UAE.

Analysts estimate that the strikes may have been aimed at disrupting US military communication systems and missile defense coordination in the region.

IRGC Declares Full Control Over the Strait of Hormuz

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran announced full control over the Strait of Hormuz, a vital shipping route for transporting oil and gas.

According to the statement, any vessels attempting to pass through this waterway risk being damaged by missiles or drones.

"Currently, the Strait of Hormuz is under the full control of the naval forces of the Islamic Republic," said a statement from IRGC Navy spokesman Mohammad Akbarzadeh.

As reported by Mignews, US President Donald Trump ordered the activation of the International Development Finance Corporation to provide political risk insurance and financial guarantees for maritime trade, primarily for energy shipments through the Persian Gulf.

He also stated that the US Navy is prepared to escort oil tankers through this crucial shipping route.

Tucker Carlson: Mossad is Blowing Up Oil Facilities in Gulf Countries

American political commentator and journalist Tucker Carlson claims that Saudi Arabia and Qatar detained and "arrested agents of the Israeli Mossad planning explosions in these countries."

Carlson posed a rhetorical question and answered it himself: "Why would the Israelis carry out explosions in the Persian Gulf countries, which are also under attack from Iran? Aren't they on the same side? - Israel wants to harm Iran, as well as Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, and Kuwait."

Carlson also stated that Israel is deliberately stoking instability among America's Arab allies.

On Monday, a drone strike caused a fire at a Saudi Aramco oil refinery in Ras Tanura.

Iran's Foreign Ministry stated that it bears no responsibility for the attack on the Saudi Aramco refinery, claiming that Israel and the US are carrying out drone strikes from bases in Arab countries.

Tehran accused them of attempting to provoke Arab states into attacking Iran and igniting a broader conflict in the Muslim world.

CENTCOM: Over 2000 Targets Hit in Operation Against Iran

The US Central Command reported interim results of the military operation against Iran, dubbed "Epic Fury." CENTCOM Commander General Cooper stated that more than 2000 targets have already been hit during the operation.

According to him, over 200 American combat aircraft, including B-2, B-1, and B-52 strategic bombers, are involved in the strikes against deeply located missile facilities, military bases, and command centers in Iran.

US naval forces, according to Cooper, have destroyed 17 Iranian ships, including one submarine.

The CENTCOM commander also reported that US forces continue to search for and destroy mobile missile launchers. He noted that Iran responded with massive attacks, launching over 500 ballistic missiles and more than 2000 drones.

He emphasized that two US carrier strike groups are deployed in the region, operating around Iran at sea. Additionally, long-range PrSM missiles and LUCAS kamikaze drones are being used for the first time in the operation.

According to CENTCOM, over 50,000 US military personnel are involved in the operation. Specific timelines for its completion have not yet been announced.

Trump Calls Defense Companies for Emergency Meeting

The administration of US President Donald Trump plans to hold an emergency meeting with leaders of major American defense companies at the White House on March 6. This was reported by Reuters, citing sources.

The main topic of discussion will be accelerating weapons production to replenish Pentagon stocks following recent military operations, including strikes against Iran.

According to sources, administration representatives intend to discuss measures with defense contractors that will allow for increased production rates and expedited delivery of weapons for the US military.

The meeting comes amid the Pentagon's work on an additional budget request of approximately $50 billion. It is expected that these funds will be directed towards replacing weapons and munitions used in recent US military operations, including in the Middle East.

As noted by Reuters, the mentioned amount is still preliminary and may change after discussions within the administration and the US Department of Defense.
