US President Donald Trump stated that Iran has offered to resume negotiations and he has agreed to make contact. He made this statement in a comment to The Atlantic.
"They want to talk, and I agreed to talk, so I will be talking to them. They should have done this earlier. They should have given what was very practical and easy to do, earlier. They waited too long," said the head of the White House.
In a phone conversation with CNBC, Trump also stated that the US operation in Iran is progressing "ahead of schedule".
"Things are now moving in a very positive direction, a very positive direction," the channel reported his words.
