Two residents of Dubai were injured as a result of debris from Iranian drones shot down by air defense systems, reported Associated Press on March 1, citing Dubai authorities.
Authorities stated that the explosions heard in Dubai were the "result of successful interception operations" by air defense forces.
As noted by AP, after the explosions in the area of Dubai International Airport, the busiest in the world, and Jebel Ali Port, smoke was seen rising into the sky.
Iran attacked several countries in the Persian Gulf following the US and Israeli strikes. On February 28, Iran launched 137 missiles and 209 drones at the United Arab Emirates, the UAE Ministry of Defense reported. According to them, at least one person was killed and seven were injured as a result of the attack on Abu Dhabi Airport. Earlier, Abu Dhabi Airports stated that the deceased was a citizen of one of the Asian countries.
