NATO members have experienced a 'shift in thinking,' said NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. He is quoted by The Guardian.
"For years, decades, the U.S. has complained that we in Europe are not spending enough on defense. The situation changed after the summit in The Hague," the head of the bloc noted.
According to Rutte, the mentioned 'shift in thinking' occurred when summit participants "felt a clear unity of views and common vision."
Earlier, Rutte threatened Russia with a "devastating response" for a possible blockade of the Suwalki Corridor — a narrow 60-kilometer strip of land between Kaliningrad and Belarus.
