"Ukrenergo" announced the halt of electricity generation by all Ukrainian NPPs. This occurred due to shelling by the invading Russian forces.
All nuclear power plants (NPPs) in the territories controlled by Ukraine have been forced to halt electricity generation. This was reported by the press service of the national energy company "Ukrenergo."
"All NPPs in the controlled territory have been forcibly unloaded," the statement said.
The company reported strikes on key high-voltage substations that ensure the output of power from nuclear energy units, as well as a significant increase in power deficit. As a result, the duration of hourly outages is being forcibly increased in all regions of Ukraine.
Ukrenergo noted that restoration work has begun at the damaged energy facilities.
