Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, around 55,000 Ukrainian servicemen have died. A significant number of soldiers are listed as missing.
These figures were announced by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in an interview with the French television channel France 2.
"In Ukraine, officially, the number of soldiers killed in action is 55,000 – both professional and mobilized. And a huge number of servicemen are listed as missing," noted the head of the Ukrainian state.
Recall that a year ago – in February 2025 – President Zelensky stated in an interview with NBC that more than 46,000 Ukrainian servicemen had died during the full-scale war with Russia, with tens of thousands more missing or being held captive.
