The command of the Allied Joint Forces (AJF) of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) in Europe has started planning the Arctic Sentry operation in Greenland. This was reported by Der Spiegel.
In particular, the Supreme Commander of NATO's Allied Joint Forces in Europe, Alexis Grinkevich, ordered the initiation of specific planning for the operation. Colonel Martin O'Donnell confirmed this information and noted that work is currently underway on what is referred to as enhancing the alliance's vigilance.
According to the publication, the plan involves conducting ground exercises on the island, regular maneuvers of NATO ships, and increasing control of the airspace.
