Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi responded to Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, calling him a clown. The corresponding post was published by the diplomat on his social media page X.
"The world is tired of confused clowns, Mr. Zelensky. Unlike your army, supported from abroad and swarming with mercenaries, we Iranians know how to defend ourselves and do not need to ask foreigners for help," stated the head of Iran's foreign policy agency.
He emphasized that "Zelensky is robbing American and European taxpayers to line the pockets of his corrupt generals" and is opposing [Russia with his] "illegal aggression, violating the UN Charter," while calling for US aggression against Iran.
Zelensky, speaking on January 22 at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, commented on the protests in Iran, stating that the world has not provided sufficient assistance to the Iranian people, and that the Iranian regime has taken the lives of thousands. According to him, "if the regime withstands, it is a clear signal: eliminate enough people and remain in power."
