The United Kingdom should buy back the USA following U.S. President Donald Trump's remarks about the need to acquire Greenland. This call was made by British journalist Piers Morgan on his X page.

"If you don’t sell it to us, President Trump, we will impose tariffs on the USA and any country that supports you in resisting this very beneficial deal. Fair enough?" the journalist jokingly suggested.

Morgan mocked Trump’s statements about the intention to purchase Greenland for security reasons and wrote that joining the USA to Britain would also ensure NATO's security. "After all, it was ours once," he added.

Earlier, The Economist reported on a way to influence Trump’s decisions regarding Greenland. Journalists noted that the success of the recent U.S. seizures of oil tankers off the coast of Venezuela directly depended on access to resources from British military airfields.
