Ukrainian anti-corruption authorities suspect one of the leaders of parliamentary factions of offering bribes for votes, officials reported, and media sources indicate that it concerns the leader of the "Batkivshchyna" party, former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko, writes LETA citing BBC.

The statement from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) does not specify which leader is being referred to. Details are promised to be announced later.

Tymoshenko herself and the deputies of her faction have not yet commented on this information.

According to a source from the online publication "Ukrainska Pravda", a search is currently being conducted at the office of the "Batkivshchyna" party in Kyiv.

Parliament member Oleksiy Honcharenko also claims that it is about Tymoshenko.

According to the deputy, Tymoshenko allegedly negotiated for money regarding the transition of deputies or unofficial joining of deputies to the "Batkivshchyna" party faction, and someone recorded this and passed it to NABU.
