Sørensen urged the U.S. to respect the territorial integrity of Denmark and Greenland.
Danish diplomat Jesper Møller Sørensen urged the U.S. to respect the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Denmark, particularly the island of Greenland. He posted the corresponding message on the social media platform X.
"Just a friendly reminder to the U.S. and the Kingdom of Denmark: we are close allies and must continue to work together in this capacity. The security of the U.S. is also the security of Greenland and Denmark... And yes, we expect full respect for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Denmark," he wrote.
This was the diplomat's reaction to a post by Katie Miller, wife of Deputy White House Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller, featuring a map of Greenland colored in the colors of the American flag with the caption "COMING SOON."
On January 3, U.S. Armed Forces carried out airstrikes on targets in the capital of Venezuela and across the country. President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores were captured and taken out of the country.
