ERR: ROC priest Kolesnikov denied entry to Estonia.
Roman Kolesnikov, a priest of the religious structure "Russian Orthodox Church" (ROC), has been banned from entering Estonia. This was reported by the television channel ERR.
According to the source, Kolesnikov began his ministry in the Estonian Orthodox Christian Church, affiliated with the Moscow Patriarchate, in the autumn of 2025. However, the Ministry of Internal Affairs refused to allow the representative of the religious structure into the country.
According to Christian Pärt, head of the internal security department of the agency, the ban is related to a threat to state security, as Kolesnikov's activities support Russia's "aggressive foreign policy" and the ideology of the "Russian world." The Estonian security agency also believes that the ROC is allegedly used by Russian special services to undermine the security of other countries.
It is specified that the Russian priest has become the third religious figure to whom restrictive measures have been applied.
