The interrogation of the crew of the cargo ship suspected of damaging the underwater cable in the Gulf of Finland will continue on Thursday, reported the Central Criminal Police of Finland.
The crew of the cargo ship named 'Fitburg' was preliminarily interrogated on Wednesday.
During the interrogations, the responsibility and role of the crew members in the incident will be established. The ship is suspected of damaging the underwater cable of the telecommunications operator Elisa between Helsinki and Tallinn.
According to Senior Commissioner of the Criminal Police Risto Lohi, the age of the ship is just over 20 years.
According to the police, the crew members are citizens of Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan.
