TWZ: the hypersonic system Dark Eagle can strike Moscow from London.
The hypersonic missile of the American Long-Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) system, Dark Eagle, is capable of reaching Moscow from London. The capabilities of the system were discussed by U.S. Army Lieutenant General Francisco Lozano, as reported by TWZ.
According to him, the maximum range of the LRHW is 3,500 kilometers. Previously, Army representatives mentioned a range of about 2,700 kilometers.
Lozano stated that the 'Dark Eagle' stationed in Guam can strike China. "He also mentioned that the missile can hit Moscow from London and Tehran from Qatar," the report says.
The development of the LRHW began in 2019, and two years later, the U.S. armed forces received the first prototype of the system. It consists of a launch platform, a carrier missile, and a hypersonic unit called the Common Hypersonic Glide Body (C-HGB).
In April, a U.S. Army representative stated that tests of the 'Dark Eagle' would take place in December. He emphasized that the product turned out to be very expensive.
